[2] Remarkably Lady Susan, who was born in 1834, would have been 80 or 81 when she went to France in 1915. Given her age it is perhaps not surprising that she was accompanied by her nurse. Martha Tackaberry. Martha Tackaberry was listed as Lady Susan's lady's maid in the 1901 Census and as nurse in the 1911 Census. Lady Susan died in 1918 aged 84 and is buried in Brompton Cemetery in the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
